On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) into law. Daly City was allocated $1,363,000 as its share of ARRA funding. In an on-going effort to improve our community, this ARRA funding will provide much needed funding to rehabilitate some of our highly trafficked streets.
Daly City submitted proposals to utilize ARRA funds to rehabilitate several arterial and collector roads. Daly City went through a review process with Caltrans and received authorization to proceed with construction.
The following street sections will be repaved:
* Callan Boulevard from Hickey Boulevard to Serramonte Boulevard
* Mission Street from Wellington Avenue to Crocker Avenue
* Glenwood Avenue from Eastgate Drive to Lake Merced Boulevard
* John Daly Boulevard from Cliffside Drive to Sheffield Drive
The following street sections will receive deep lift repairs:
* Hillside Boulevard from Mission Street to Price Street
* Carter Street from Guadalupe Canyon Parkway to the City Limit near Geneva Avenue
