On Monday the San Mateo County Chapter of the American Institute for Architects presented before the City Council their Final Report for the Mission Street Urban Design Charette. Kudos and a big thanks, should go to the San Mateo County Chapter of American Institute for Architects, Daly City Staff, and the 1,744 residents who responded to the Community Priorities Survey.
And yes folks have called me and asked when are these changes happening. It is important to realize when reviewing these documents that their concepts and ideas, and no action by the City Council has been taken to approve these buildings. Simply, the San Mateo County Chapter of the American Institute for Architects in conjunction with city staff, and residents have created a forward thinking document of which the city could be in the future.
Personally, there are some projects I really enjoyed in the report and others I could do without. And your thoughts?
